David Dopek is an American former sprinter born on February 8, 1973. He made history as DePaul University's first-ever NCAA Champion when he won the 1995 NCAA Indoor 200 meters title.

Dopek's victory at the 1995 NCAA Indoor Championships marked a landmark moment for DePaul athletics, establishing the program on the national stage in track and field. His achievement demonstrated the potential for programs outside traditional track and field powerhouses to produce national champions.

After his competitive career, Dopek remained connected to his alma mater. He was named DePaul's track and field head coach in July 2010 and was inducted into the DePaul Athletics Hall of Fame on January 30, 2010, recognizing his historic contributions to the program both as an athlete and later as a coach.
