Clarence Munyai

Clarence Munyai is a South African sprinter born on February 20, 1998, in Johannesburg. Standing 170 cm tall and weighing 65 kg, he is the current South African national record holder in the 200 metres with a time of 19.69 seconds, set on March 16, 2018, at the South African national championships.

Munyai has represented South Africa at multiple Olympic Games. He competed in the men's 200 metres at the 2016 Summer Olympics at just 18 years old, finishing third in his heat with 20.66 seconds. He returned for the 2020 Summer Olympics, competing in both the men's 200 metres and the 4x100 metres relay.

As South Africa's 200 metres record holder, Munyai ranks among the fastest sprinters his country has produced. His two Olympic appearances and national record demonstrate his status as a cornerstone of South African sprinting.
