Brandon Rock

Brandon Rock is a former American middle-distance runner born on July 8, 1972, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Standing 193 cm and weighing 79 kg, he specialized in the 800 metres with a personal best of 1:44.64, achieved in June 1996 in Atlanta.

Rock finished fifth at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg and represented the United States in the 800 metres at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He won both the 800-metre event at the 1995 NCAA Outdoor Championships and the 1995 USATF Nationals, establishing himself as America's premier half-miler that year.

He ran collegiately for multiple institutions, including the University of Arkansas, the University of Nevada, and Taft Junior College. His World Championship finish and Olympic appearance represented the peak of a career that saw him become one of America's top 800-metre runners of the mid-1990s.
