Scott Hennig is an American former pole vaulter born on April 17, 1969. A Canyon High School graduate, he attended Southwest Texas State University and was a four-time Southland Conference indoor champion.

Hennig won the pole vault at the U.S. national indoor championships in 1998, establishing himself as one of America's top vaulters. The following year, he finished second to Pat Manson at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg, claiming a silver medal for the United States.

His national championship and Pan American Games medal represent significant achievements in American pole vaulting. Hennig's consistency at the national level made him a prominent figure in the event during the late 1990s.
