Adrián Ben

Adrian Ben Montenegro is a Spanish middle-distance runner born on August 4, 1998, in Viveiro. Standing 179 cm tall, he specializes in the 800 metres and 1500 metres, establishing himself as one of Spain's premier middle-distance talents.

Ben won the gold medal in the 800 metres at the 2023 European Indoor Championships, capturing the continental title. Earlier in his career, he earned bronze in the 800m at the 2017 European Under-20 Championships and has won a Spanish national title. He also competed in the junior men's race at the 2017 World Cross Country Championships in Kampala, Uganda.

As a European Indoor Champion, Ben has reached the pinnacle of continental middle-distance running. His progression from junior medallist to senior champion demonstrates his development as one of Spain's leading 800m specialists.
