Tomas Dvorak is a Czech decathlete and heptathlete who is one of the most decorated combined-event athletes in history. Born in Zlin, he competed for the club Dukla Prague and won three World Championship gold medals in the decathlon in 1997, 1999, and 2001, a feat of remarkable consistency at the highest level.

Dvorak set the decathlon world record with 8,994 points in Prague in 1999, a score that remains the fifth best performance of all time. He is the only athlete to have scored over 8,900 points on three separate occasions. His record was surpassed in 2001 by his compatriot Roman Sebrle, who became the first man to break the 9,000-point barrier.

Dvorak announced his retirement in July 2008 after failing to qualify for the Beijing Olympics. He went on to work as an athletics coach.
