Tim Broe

Tim Broe is a retired American long-distance runner born on June 20, 1977, in Peoria, Illinois. He reached the 5000 metres final at the 2004 Athens Olympics, finishing eleventh.

Broe competed collegiately for the University of Alabama, where his 3000m steeplechase record still stands. His ability to compete at the Olympic level demonstrated his development as one of America's top distance runners.

After retiring from competition, Broe became a cross country and track and field coach. In his second year coaching the Wellesley High School boys cross country team, he led them to the MIAA Division State Cross Country Championship, successfully transitioning his expertise to developing young athletes.
