Roland Mcghee
USAMenRoland McGhee is an American former long jumper born on October 15, 1971, in Flint, Michigan. His personal best of 8.51 metres ranked him in the all-time top 25 for the event as of 2016, establishing him among the greatest American long jumpers.
McGhee was a two-time national champion, winning both the outdoor and indoor titles in 1998. He represented the United States at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics and the 1999 World Indoor Championships. His versatility extended to sprinting, where he earned a bronze medal in the relay at the 1994 IAAF World Cup.
His connection with Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and his dual ability in jumping and sprinting made him a valuable contributor to American track and field. McGhee's consistency at the national level and his world-class performances in the long jump defined his successful career.
