Ramil Ganiyev is a retired Uzbekistani decathlete born on September 23, 1968, in Yangiabad, Tashkent Region. Standing 188 cm and weighing 86 kg, he is of Tatar heritage and represented Uzbekistan in the demanding ten-event combined competition.
Ganiyev competed in the decathlon at international level, developing proficiency across the discipline's diverse events: 100 metres, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400 metres, 110 metres hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, and 1500 metres.
His career representing Uzbekistan contributed to the development of athletics in the country following independence. Ganiyev's participation in the decathlon demonstrated the athletic versatility required to compete in one of track and field's most challenging disciplines.
