Marcus Rowland

Marcus Rowland is an American sprinter born on March 11, 1990, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He specializes in the 100 and 200 metres and attended Auburn University, where he developed into an exceptional young sprinter.

Rowland won gold in the 100 metres at the 2009 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. His winning time of 10.03 seconds was, as of April 2017, the sixth-fastest ever run by a junior athlete, demonstrating exceptional speed at a young age.

His junior championship success placed Rowland among the fastest teenage sprinters in history. The ability to run 10.03 seconds as a junior indicated significant potential for continued success at the senior level.
