Kevin Toth is an American former shot putter born on December 29, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio. Standing 193 cm and weighing 144 kg, he achieved a personal best of 22.67 metres in 2003, placing him tenth on the all-time performers list as of February 2025.
Toth's career ended in controversy when the United States Anti-Doping Agency announced in 2004 that he received a two-year ban following a positive test for tetrahydrogestrinone, the designer steroid at the center of the BALCO scandal. He retired from competition following the ban.
Despite the doping violation that ended his career, Toth's throw of 22.67 metres demonstrated world-class ability in the shot put. His position on the all-time list reflects the distances he achieved before his suspension.
