John Moffitt

John Moffitt is an American long jumper born on December 12, 1980, in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Standing 185 cm and weighing 78 kg, he achieved breakthrough success in 2004 and competed for Louisiana State University.

Moffitt's career peaked in 2004 when he won both the NCAA indoor and outdoor championships in the long jump. He improved his personal best by 45 centimeters that year and capped his breakthrough season by winning the silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, finishing behind fellow American Dwight Phillips.
