Jason Young is an American discus thrower born on May 27, 1981, in Dallas, Texas. Standing 185 cm and weighing 118 kg, he competed at the 2012 London Olympics, finishing 19th in the event.

Young was a two-time All-American at Texas Tech, placing second in the discus at the 2004 NCAA Outdoor Championship. He was runner-up at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in both 2010 and 2011, demonstrating consistent excellence at the national level.

He finished 2010 as the number two ranked discus thrower in the world and has been ranked among the top ten in the United States six times. Young's Olympic appearance and world ranking reflect his standing among America's elite discus throwers of his generation.
