Hamish Kerr

Hamish Kerr is a New Zealand high jumper born on August 17, 1996, in Dunedin. Standing 198 cm tall, he has established himself as one of the world's best high jumpers, winning gold medals at both the 2024 Paris Olympics and 2025 World Championships.

Kerr won gold at the 2024 World Indoor Championships, having previously won bronze in 2022. He also claimed gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. He is the co-holder of the Oceanian outdoor record and the sole holder of the Oceanian indoor record, cementing his status as the greatest high jumper in the region's history.

As a reigning Olympic and World champion, Kerr represents the pinnacle of high jumping achievement. His collection of major titles and continental records establishes him as New Zealand's most successful male field event athlete.
