Erick Walder
USAMenErick Walder, born November 5, 1971, in Mobile, Alabama, is a retired American long jumper. He competed at the highest level during the 1990s and was known for his powerful technique and explosive athleticism.
Walder's personal best of 8.74 metres, achieved in April 1994 in El Paso, ranked him among the best long jumpers in the world during his era. His career was defined by consistent performances on the grand prix circuit and in domestic championships.
His 8.74-metre mark places him among the top performers in the all-time long jump rankings, and his contributions to American athletics during the 1990s helped maintain the United States' traditional strength in the event.
