Carmelita Jeter, born on 24 November 1979 in Los Angeles, United States, is a retired American sprinter who competed in the 60 m, 100 m, and 200 m. Known as the "Fastest Woman Alive" for over a decade after running a 100 m personal best of 10.64 seconds at the 2009 Shanghai Golden Grand Prix, she ranks among the fastest women in the history of the event.

Jeter won the 2011 World Championship title in the 100 m and claimed the Olympic silver medal at the 2012 London Games. She also earned bronze medals at the 2007 and 2009 World Championships and won gold at the World Athletics Final. Her personal best of 10.64 seconds places her as the fifth fastest woman of all time in the 100 m.

In May 2023, Jeter transitioned to coaching and was named head coach of the track and field and cross country programs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
