Andra Manson

Andra Manson is an American high jumper born on April 30, 1984, in Brenham, Texas. Standing 196 cm and weighing 75 kg, he excelled in both basketball and track at Brenham High School, setting the U.S. high school record in the high jump at 2.31 metres on July 18, 2002. He was named Track and Field News High School Athlete of the Year in 2002.

Manson competed collegiately at the University of Texas and represented the United States at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His personal best of 2.35 metres, achieved in April 2009 in Austin, demonstrated his world-class ability in the event. Indoors, he cleared 2.33 metres in February 2007 in Fayetteville.

His transition from high school record-holder to Olympic athlete showcased the development of one of America's most naturally talented high jumpers. The combination of his high school achievements and later professional success established Manson as a significant figure in American jumping events.
