
Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson is an American former sprinter born on June 8, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio. Standing 183 cm and weighing 75 kg, he won a bronze medal in the 200 metres at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
Jefferson was ranked third in the world in the 200 metres in 1984, his Olympic year. He also won a bronze medal in the 4x100 metres relay at the 1984 Universiade and placed fourth in the 200 metres at the 1991 World Indoor Championships. In 1985, he won the Mid-American Conference Championship in both the 100 and 200 metres.
Jefferson was inducted into the Kent State University Hall of Fame in 1992, recognizing his contributions to the program. His Olympic bronze medal and world ranking demonstrate his status among the elite 200-metre runners of the 1980s.
