James Driscoll is an American former hammer thrower born on August 15, 1965. He achieved a personal best of 74.58 meters in 1992 in New Orleans and won gold at the 1991 Pan American Games.

Driscoll represented the United States at the 1993 World Championships in Athletics, competing in the qualifying round. At the 1991 Pan American Games, he won gold with a throw of 72.78 meters. He returned to the Pan American Games in 1995 but finished sixth. Domestically, he was runner-up at the USA Outdoor Championships in 1993 and 1994, and finished fourth at the national championships in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1995.

After retiring in 1996, Driscoll became a throws coach, training young athletes in Corona del Mar, California. He lives with his wife Jane Buchan in Newport Coast, California, continuing to contribute to the sport through coaching.
