Halil Akkaş

Halil Akkas is a Turkish middle-distance runner born on July 1, 1983, in Kutahya, who competes for Fenerbahce SK. He has achieved success across multiple events including the 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, and 3000m steeplechase.

Akkas won the 3000m steeplechase at the 2005 World University Games. He has consistently placed among the top finishers at major championships, including fourth in the 5000m at the 2006 European Championships, fourth in the 3000m at the 2007 European Indoor Championships, fourth in the 1500m at the 2006 World Indoor Championships, and sixth in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2007 World Championships.
