
Beatrice Chebet
Beatrice Chebet is a Kenyan long-distance runner born on 5 March 2000, widely regarded as one of the most dominant female distance runners of her generation. She holds world records in the 5000 metres, 10,000 metres, and the road 5K, and is known by her nickname, the "smiling assassin."
Chebet achieved a remarkable double gold at the 2024 Summer Olympics, winning both the 5000m and 10,000m, and repeated the feat at the 2025 World Athletics Championships. She previously earned a silver medal in the 5000m at the 2022 World Championships and a bronze in 2023. She is also a three-time World Cross Country champion, winning the junior race in 2019 and the senior race in both 2023 and 2024.
Her career success extends to the 2018 World U20 Championships, the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and the 2022 African Championships, where she claimed the 5000m title at each. She trains in Londiani, Kericho County, Kenya.
