Yukiko Akaba

Yukiko Akaba is a Japan long-distance runner, born on October 18, 1979 in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. She competes primarily in the 3000m, 5000m and 10000m.

Her personal bests include 9:20.3h in the 3000m, 15:06.07 in the 5000m, 31:36.54 in the 10000m, 1:08:11 in the Semi and 2:24:09 in the Marathon. She has earned 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in major international competitions. She is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Japan.
