Samuel Matete

Samuel Matete is a Zambia sprinter, born on July 27, 1968 in Chingola, Zambia. Standing 1.83 m and weighing 81 kg, He competes primarily in the 400m, 800m and 400mH.

His personal bests include 44.88 in the 400m, 1:52.81 in the 800m, 47.10 in the 400mH, 3:02.14 in the 4x400m and 46.83 in the 400MetresS. He has earned 10 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Zambia.
