Peter Koech is a Kenya middle-distance runner, born on February 18, 1958 in Kilibwoni, Kenya. Standing 1.80 m and weighing 67 kg, He competes primarily in the 1500m, 3000m and 5000m.

His personal bests include 3:35.67 in the 1500m, 7:39.09 in the 3000m, 13:09.50 in the 5000m, 28:07.28 in the 10000m and 1:06:07 in the Semi. He has earned 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Kenya.
