Merlene Ottey

Merlene Ottey is a Jamaica sprinter, born on May 10, 1960 in Hanover Parish, Jamaica. Standing 1.73 m and weighing 59 kg, She competes primarily in the 100m, 200m and 400m.

Her personal bests include 10.74 in the 100m, 21.64 in the 200m, 51.12 in the 400m, 41.94= in the 4x100m and 3:31.5h in the 4x400m. She has earned 27 gold, 12 silver and 16 bronze medals in major international competitions. She is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Jamaica.
