Marius Ionescu

Marius Ionescu is a Romania middle-distance runner, born on December 18, 1984. He competes primarily in the 1500m, 3000m and 5000m.

His personal bests include 3:45.66 in the 1500m, 8:00.86 in the 3000m, 13:54.21 in the 5000m, 28:54.83 in the 10000m and 1:03:20 in the Semi. He has earned 21 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Romania.
