Kenenisa Bekele is a Ethiopia middle-distance runner, born on June 13, 1982 in Bekoji, Ethiopia. Standing 1.65 m and weighing 56 kg, He competes primarily in the 1500m, Mile and 3000m.

His personal bests include 3:32.35 in the 1500m, 4:01.57 in the Mile, 7:25.79 in the 3000m, 12:37.35 in the 5000m and 26:17.53 in the 10000m. He has earned 52 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Ethiopia.
