Karin Burneleit

Karin Burneleit is a GDR middle-distance runner, born on August 18, 1943. She competes primarily in the 800m, 1500m and 1500Metres.

Her personal bests include 2:00.1h in the 800m, 4:04.11 in the 1500m, 4:11.33 in the 1500Metres, 2:07.60 in the 800MetresS and 2:35.0h in the 1000m. She has earned 2 gold and 1 silver medals in major international competitions. She is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing GDR.
