Karabo Sibanda

Karabo Sibanda is a Botswana sprinter born on July 2, 1998, in Shashe-Mooke. Standing 185 cm tall and weighing 70 kg, he specializes in the 400 metres and was inspired to pursue athletics after watching Usain Bolt compete at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Sibanda won two medals at the 2016 African Championships as well as multiple age group medals during his junior career. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics as an 18-year-old, finishing fifth in the 400 metres final with a personal best of 44.25 seconds, an extraordinary achievement for such a young athlete.
