Harald Schmid is a Germany sprinter, born on September 29, 1957 in Hanau, Germany. Standing 1.87 m and weighing 82 kg, He competes primarily in the 200m, 400m and 800m.

His personal bests include 20.68 in the 200m, 44.92 in the 400m, 1:44.83 in the 800m, 47.48= in the 400mH and 2:59.96 in the 4x400m. He has earned 11 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Germany.
