Carl Lewis is a United States sprinter, born on July 1, 1961 in Birmingham, United States. Standing 1.88 m and weighing 80 kg, He competes primarily in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m.

His personal bests include 9.78 in the 100m, 19.75 in the 200m, 37.40 in the 4x100m, 8.87 in the LJ and 6.60 in the 60m. He has earned 26 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing United States.
