Alex Cherop

Alex Cherop is a Uganda middle-distance runner, born on January 15, 1991. He competes primarily in the 800m, 1500m and Mile.

His personal bests include 1:47.7h in the 800m, 3:40.46 in the 1500m, 3:58.45 in the Mile, 8:18.42 in the 3000m and 13:44.79 in the 5000m. He has earned 3 gold medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Uganda.
