Alemu Bekele

Alemu Bekele is a Bahrain middle-distance runner, born on March 23, 1990 in Bekoji, Ethiopia. Standing 1.62 m and weighing 59 kg, He competes primarily in the 1500m, 3000m and 5000m.

His personal bests include 3:40.83 in the 1500m, 7:48.04 in the 3000m, 13:18.00 in the 5000m, 27:56.20 in the 10000m and 1:01:46 in the Semi. He has earned 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Bahrain.
