Robert Reading is an American former athlete born on June 9, 1967. He specialized in sprint hurdles and relays, competing for USC as a varsity athlete after attending Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley, California.

Reading won the 1989 NCAA Division I Outdoor championship in the 110 metres hurdles, running a wind-assisted 13.19 in the final. He had earlier broken Earl McCullouch's 22-year-old school record with 13.42 during the heats. He represented the United States at the 1995 Pan American Games.

At the Pan American Games, Reading earned a silver medal as part of the 4x100 metre relay team alongside Ron Clark, Wendell Gaskin, and Dino Napier. His NCAA championship and international relay medal reflect a successful career combining individual excellence with team contributions.
