Françoise Mbango Etone, born 14 April 1976 in Yaoundé, is a Cameroonian-born former triple jumper who became one of the most decorated athletes in the history of her country. She later competed internationally for France starting in 2010. Mbango Etone was the first female athlete representing Cameroon to win medals at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and Olympic Games.

Competing for Cameroon, she won back-to-back Olympic gold medals in the triple jump at the 2004 Athens Games and the 2008 Beijing Games. At the Beijing Olympics, she set the Olympic record with a distance of 15.39 metres, the third longest women's triple jump in history under any conditions. Her dominance was on full display in that final, where she cleared 15 metres on seven of her last eleven attempts. She was also a talented long jumper, finishing second at the 1999 African Championships.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Mbango Etone has been a scholarship holder with the Olympic Solidarity program since 2002 and attended St. John's University in New York City during the 2005-06 academic year.
